We believe in a sustainable fashion world, a world where the fashion business contributes to an evolving planet and better working conditions.
For this reason, we have decided to keep our manufacture local as a way to truly support the “Made in Portugal” label, fighting everyday to build a sustainable industrial project.
This goal is achieved by a combination of many small acts, which together have the power to transform conventional consumption into an ethical shopping reality.
Since the foundation of our group back in 1973, our concerns for a conscious method of work have always been present as we strive to continuously implement new and better solutions into our company.
SOCIAL SUSTAINABILITY
Throughout the years we have developed ways in which to operate more sustainably as well as to make our products environmental and animal-friendly while also developing social sustainability projects, such as the Porto Pony Club.
A non-profit organization with the aim of helping children with special needs, working not only in cognitive development but also in social integration of these children with the world.
One of the biggest steps towards the environmental sustainability of our industrial project was the installation of 900 solar panels.
Our expenditure of electricity is 3 to 5 times higher when compared to a conventional footwear company, which led us to take action to mitigate this reality. In addition to the solar panels installed, contracts with clean energy providers were established and today we operate with 100% renewable electrical energy.
AN INSIDE JOB
With the goal of becoming a 0% waste industry, we launched in 2019 our first 100% recycled footwear line — Wasteless Act.
